Lazy Saturday...

Well you guessed it--I am having one heck of a lazy Saturday. I started the day off by sleeping in until my body woke itself up (imagine that) which for me was about 10:30am then I made my way downstairs to plant it on the couch to watch some television. For those of you who know me your probably thinking, how did Mandy go downstairs...she doesn't have stairs in her apartment. You are correct I don't, but I am currently animal sitting at a house with stairs so it all makes sense. I am currently the care taker of a bird, 2 fish and a guinea pig. This has been one heck of a relaxing day, and as we speak I am in the middle of watching the ever wonderful GLEE marathon...I think there is a marathon because the NEW GLEE EPISODE IS TOMORROW after the Super Bowl. I can't lie I am more excited for the GLEE episode then I am for the Super Bowl. I do however enjoy Super Bowl Sunday because more often than not you get to spend it with friends and family, which always equals a fun day in my book. The sad news for me is that I don't live in Oregon anymore where my family resides so scratch the hanging out with family deal, and my friends that are practically like my family are on a ski weekend--boohoo.
I did just remember that I do have Improv class tomorrow at The Groundlings! I love improv classes, they are so much fun and pretty much just provide me with entertainment and good quality laughing for nearly 3 hours every Sunday.
I have to inform you that I don't generally just sit on my tooshy all weekend long, but I had a minor surgery/procedure on Thursday so I have been ordered by a doctor to take it easy--uh no problemo. I have had this procedure done before and last time I didn't take it so easy and things got a little complicated so I am happy to report that since I have been just laying low I do feel much much better. While on the subject of this blessed procedure I want to give a very deserved shout out and thank you to my fabulous friend Brandi for taking me to my appointment and then taking care of me afterwards---great great friend. Medical fun is one way to see who your true friends are--the real ones will sit with you at the doctor for hours while they poke and prode at you. So thank you Brandi. I also want to say thanks to my girl Jessica and her little sweet pea Juliette for bringing me treats and company after my procedure...you two made my night glorious!
So the moral of my story is--take it easy once and a while, we all need to take a break here and there and I can tell you from todays experience IT FEELS GREAT!
